Latest Information
The Index of Industrial Production for the month of September 2011 was 75.7. This indicates that the output level decreased by 3.4 points or 4.3 per cent compared with August 2011 and fell by 4.8 points or 6.0 per cent when compared with September 2010.
The Index of Retail Prices for October 2011 stood at 160.5 points. This represented an increase of 0.8 per cent when compared with the 159.3 points recorded in September 2011.

The Leading and Coincident Economic Indexes point to reduced signs in economic recovery over the third quarter of 2011.

Projections of the Leading Economic Index (LEI) indicate a small increase at the end of the third quarter 2011. However, the Coincidence Economic Index fell slightly, a reflection of a general weakening in the economy.
